I am trying to get more green vegtables into my diet and this Mango, Pineapple and Spinach Smoothie was the tastiest way I could find. Spinach is rich in iron, an excellent soure of vitamin K, vitamin A and vitamin C as well as a good source of folic acid, manganese, magnesium and vitamin B2. I find it hard to introduce it to  meals so liquidising it and adding it to some gorgeous fruit seemed like the easiet and tastiest option. The tropical flavors of the pineapple and mango come together to create a very refreshing smoothie. I used frozen fruit when making this. I know that fresh is more nutritious but I didnt want to risk the waste. Aldi have a fab frozen fruit section which is fairly reasonably priced.

Method

  1. Place spinach, banana, pineapple, mango, almonds and milk respectively, in a Nutri-Bullet. If you are using a blender place the pineapple, mango, banana, spinach, milk, and almonds respectively, in the blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.

Ingredients

  • 8 Chunks of frozen mango
  • 4 Chunks of frozen pineapple
  • Handful of Almonds
  • 250mls of Almond Milk (Or whatever milk you choose)
  • Half a ripe banana
  • 2 Large Handfuls of Spinach

If you are using fresh fruit than add ice to the blender.
