Dangerous levels of stress in conjunction with our increasingly sedentary lifestyles leads to illness such as back pain, depression, migraine and cardiovascular disease which lose companies thousands of man hours every year.
Exercise has been proven to be the most effective method of improving mental wellbeing and helping to reduce the onset of stress-related illnesses. Holistic wellbeing therapies such as Yoga and Pilates are also proven to elevate mental wellbeing, promote flexibility and relaxation and even boost immunity keeping employees healthy, happy and balanced.

1. LUNCH & LEARN SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS
Exercise Programming for the working Professional – During this seminar each employee will use SMART Training materials to assess their current exercise regime and set future targets based around the key area of personal well-being. This workshop takes away the nonsense and leaves employees with a plan of action which is achievable.
Exercise: Powering your Mind & Body – An engaging seminar where we aim to educate staff members about fitness and the secret benefits of exercise. This seminar has a practical element to it and employees will be encouraged to get up off their seats and take part in some fun team competitions with giveaways.
Exercise for Stress Relief – This interactive workshop provides an indepth look at stress geared toward empowering participants to effectively manage stress. Key areas covered are: causes of stress, the body’s response to stress, practice in identifying symptoms of stress and the top ways in which exercise can help you manage the pressures of every day lives.
Back Care & Posture – This seminar is presented by a registered physiotherapist. The goal of this seminar is to provide staff with a better understanding of the causes and risk factors around back pain and to provide employees with basic exercises that will help improve tissue health, reduce muscle restriction and resolve joint pain as well as increasing postural awareness.
2. Couch TO 5KM
The goal of our Couch to 5k Programme is to help your staff complete a 5km run. The programme is designed to be fun and inclusive and will culminate in a 5k fun run. This programme will cater for people that are new or beginners to jogging or running and is also open to those that are currently walking but perhaps would like to build up to jogging or running. If your employees would like to get fit and healthy in a fun and supported way then this programme is for them!
3.Four or Six Week Fitness Bootcamp Programmes
The goal of our Fitness Bootcamps is to rapidly improve the health and fitness of your employees. It doesn’t matter if your employees are fighting fit or falling behind, our sessions cater to all fitness levels. Our Bootcamps are all- inclusive sessions where staff members work alongside their colleagues, helping each other through a range of exercises and tasks, increasing both their personal fitness levels and the sense of unity within the workplace environment. Our varied fitness bootcamps mix high-intensity (HIIT) workouts with low impact exercises so your staff burn calories without burning out.
4.Gym Design / Set-Up
We can design your corporate gym based on your budget and available space. We provide you with a standard corporate gym checklist and provide an employee survey to see what your employees would like. We match your employee likes, and your wants, with what we know a corporate gyms needs.
Based on your budget and/or space constraints we will supply an equipment list and tender specifications for this list. We can manage the gym equipment tendering process and assist you during this process.
5.Corporate Gym Management/ Membership Database Management
We take the work load off your Facilities/HR reps hands. We arrange all services available for your staff through our website booking service or by email. We maintain a database of members on your behalf which is compliant with The Data Protection Act.
6.Run On-Site Group Training and/or Personal Training.
SMART Training can provide a range of exercise classes from Circuit/HIIT, Boxercise, Pump & Tone to Kettlebell Classes, to suit your employees’ needs. We know that space can be at a premium in most offices but we can still easily provide health and fitness services in your workplace. A meeting room, lunch room, open space or roof terrace is all that’s needed for an effective workout or exercise class. Contact us and we can quickly tailor the best solution for your environment or budget. Our qualified Personal Trainers will take groups through 45 minute dynamic energetic fun classes.
We also offer onsite Personal Training. Our Personal Trainers will take individuals or small groups (max 3) through individual tailored programmes to help employees reach their fitness goals even faster.
7.Employee Wellbeing Events
SMART Training offers a range of Wellbeing Days to engage your employees on various aspects of their health and fitness. Available to companies of all sizes, we can tailor an event to visit your organisation anywhere in the country at a time to suit you.
